Stephane Rey
Our President
Stéphane has been a member of CERN staff since 2010 in the RadioFrequency group. He obtained his amateur-radio license in 1992 under the callsign F1TJJ and has served as the club’s president since 2016. Since then, he has focused primarily on developing the club’s infrastructure and on the 4.3-metre dish project for microwave communications.
Yves Roch
Our Vice President, callsign F4JVN, obtained his amateur-radio license in 2022. He had already been serving as Vice President before then and was participating a lot in the installation of the club’s infrastructure.
Giampaolo Piccinini
Giampaolo got the ham radio callsign IW0EBR in 1991, and currently got hisFrench callsign F4VRS. He works in the RF group of the SY Department. He is an RF technician with the responsibility of high-power RF amplifiers in the injector complex. Among countless things, he is giving a decisive contribution to the antenna farm of the CERN Radio Club.
Fabrizio Furano
Our Secretary.
Fabrizio got his first HAM radio callsign in 1990, and is currently using the French callsign F4VUK.
He works in the CERN IT department, with a long history about high performance storage and systems design.
Passionated maker, loves everything technical, he enjoys both couch operations and POTA/SOTA QRP activations. Get in touch with him for a radio hike!
